Hamilton Citizens Advice Bureau is a member of the Scottish Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux.
Our core funding is from South Lanarkshire Council. The Scottish Executive funds our In-Court Advice service.
We have an excellent team of volunteers all working to ensure that we can provide a service that is Free, Confidential, Impartial and Independent. Due to the increasing demands on our work we are always looking for new volunteers to join us.
Our aims are:
- To ensure that individuals do
not suffer through a lack of knowledge of:-
- Their rights and responsibilities
or
The services available to them
- Through an inability to express
their needs effectively
and equally
- To exercise a responsible infuence
on the development of social policies and services both locally and nationally
